About Gabriela
Gabriela is an interpreter & translator based in Washington, DC.
An Alabama native, Gabriela received her Bachelor of Arts with Honors from The University of Alabama, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in International Studies, Spanish, and French with a minor in Liberal Arts from the Blount Undergraduate Initiative. While in school, she studied abroad in Paris and Madrid.
She then went on to receive her Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School, where she completed internships in immigration and human rights advocacy in Washington DC, international law in Quito, Ecuador, and was a student attorney in GW’s Immigration Clinic. She is admitted to the New York Bar.
After working briefly as an immigration attorney, Gabriela discovered that she wanted to pursue a career in language services and began training in translation and interpretation. She holds a Masters in Conference Interpretation from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies.
Gabriela has also completed Georgia State University’s Graduate Certificate in Translation in both the English/Spanish and Spanish/English language pairings.
She holds State Court Interpreter Certification in Alabama, Tennessee and the District of Columbia. She is also an ATA Certified Translator, Spanish into English.
